West Berkshire Countryside Society - July 2026 Events

The Society exists to promote the understanding, appreciation and conservation of the West Berkshire Countryside. We also learn a lot and get to have fun while we do so.We hold free events where you can meet friendly and like-minded folk; organise regular walks guided by a knowledgeable leader; organise talks on natural and local history; and support Barn Owl conservation. When you join the Society, there is a £15 annual subscription. This entitles you to four copies of the ‘Upstream’ newsletter per annum.

The events below give you the opportunity to come out on practical tasks, learn new skills, meet new people and, above all, enjoy yourself. Tasks begin at 10.00am and finish by 3.00pm. You are welcome stay for as long as you wish. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, bring work gloves and make sure you have refreshments for your day. All tools will be provided. Grid references and ‘What Three Words’ listings locate the task meeting point.
