Network Rail are replacing track and upgrade drainage

I’m getting in touch to let you know about our upcoming work in the Newbury area. We need to replace track and upgrade drainage.

 We’ll be working from 10pm Friday 5 to 8am Monday 8 June and from 10pm Friday 12 June to 8am Monday 15 June. Work takes place continuously around the clock. We’ve written to residents living near the work sites to let them know.

 To allow us to work safely and efficiently, buses will replace some trains on Saturday 6, Sunday 7, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June. Buses replace trains between:

·        Reading and Newbury

·        Reading and Bedwyn

·        Newbury, Kintbury and Hungerford

·        Pewsey and Swindon

Trains between London Paddington and Plymouth will use an alternative route via Swindon with some of these also stopping at Westbury. Trains between Reading and Basingstoke will be unaffected.
