Men’s Health Kickstart - Power Up Your Health
Healthwatch West Berkshire is currently running a new project and survey called “Men’s Health Kickstart - Power Up Your Health”, focused on improving men’s physical and mental health, increasing early prevention and reducing stigma around help-seeking.
We would be very grateful for your support in promoting the project and the attached poster through your channels (social media, newsletters, noticeboards, directly to your members, etc.).
Why this is important?
Men are less likely to attend NHS Health Checks, more likely to delay seeking help and at higher risk of late diagnosis for heart disease, prostate cancer and mental health issues. Many also feel confused about NHS services and unsure where to turn for support.
Why the survey matters?
The survey allows men to share their experiences, barriers and needs. This insight will be used to inform local NHS services and influence future improvements in men’s health support.
