Greenham Control Tower Views of the Eclipse

Yesterday evening, I drove up to the Control Tower as AI had told me it would be the best place to see the eclipse. I set things up for our 7:30pm meeting at St Mary’s Church earlier than normal and headed to the Control Tower.

I got chatting to the BBOWT Fundraiser who was taking the opportunity to talk to some of the hundreds of people who had had the same idea.

Luckily for me, he had a spare eclipse monocle which I was able to try and use to cover my camera lens and get that perfect shot ;) It proved difficult as you needed to keep natural light out… but it would seem I got a few of lucky shots of the eclipse…

I saw the 90% eclipse via the monocle and then had to dash off to get to the meeting before 7:30pm

All was well… and the photos turned out better than I had thought.

Next job, get those meeting minutes written up!
