Sharing Greenham’s Gardens and Wildlife

Greenham in Bloom Community Facebook Page

We are launching a Facebook page for Greenham in Bloom, and invite local residents to join us in creating an online photo-gallery of Greenham’s gardens and wildlife.

Greenham in Bloom was due to be launched in 2020, as a gardening competition and campaign for a greener and cleaner environment in Greenham, to support wildlife, and to foster Greenham’s community links. However, it was not possible to launch the event because of the Covid-19 outbreak.

We want to keep Greenham in Bloom alive, and to share and celebrate gardening and nature across Greenham at this time. So, instead of the competition, we have created a Community Facebook page. This will be an online picture-gallery, created by uploading pictures and video clips of Greenham’s plants, wildlife and even gardeners. Pictures and videos could include fruit, flowers, veg, trees, window-boxes, and garden wildlife; or even plants and wildlife seen outdoors during our daily exercise. The page can be found at

Lead Councillor for Greenham in Bloom, Cllr Philippa Harper said:

‘Gardening, wildlife and the environment are important to all our lives. Gardening also provides a great deal of joy for very many people, many of whom are isolated at home right now. As we go into the growing season, we can share our successes – and failures ! – and create a community online gallery of our gorgeous gardens.’
